ACTIVITY — Just don’t be inactive. There’s a five day maximum of inactivity, on the fourth you will receive a warning in both a personalized message and a post on the main blog, but on the fifth, you’re gone. No exceptions. If you would like to reclaim your faceclaim and no one else has already reserved it upon your dismissal, you may. Keep in mind, however, that we will be taking into consideration that you were inactive in the past and this may lower your chances of acceptance. Also, let it be noted that activity doesn’t count as posting a picture or responding to one gif post. Para, or at least interact with as many characters as you can every day, or you’ll receive a warning. If you let us know ahead of time that you will be inactive, it won’t be held against you and your role will be saved.
WRITING — We are a multi-para roleplay, meaning you should have at least two well written paragraphs within each and every one of your replies or starters. An exception to this rule would be either chatzy roleplaying or the usage of the chat feature on the dashboard to para. Both are excepted if that is preferred, but you still must write a significant amount. Absolutely no one-liners.
EXPLICIT THEMES — This is a college based roleplay, so there will clearly be college based themes. Most notably sexual content (smut), drug use, graphic violence, and whatever else anyone might want to include in their writing experience. Nothing is off-limits, however, you must include a trigger warning if you dabble in a subject that is clearly not PG-13. Also, keep your smut and violence under the read more cut. Some players simply aren’t comfortable with seeing pornographic writing on the dash or even gory fight scenes. Both are acceptable, but only kept under the read more.
FACECLAIMS — While we obviously realize that we have a banned FC list, there may be a very select few of exceptions depending on the biography written for the character. Like, if we think it’s a really good idea, we won’t turn you down just because of the FC, but you have a much better chance of just getting in without complications if you use a faceclaim that isn’t listed.
CLEANLINESS — Don’t choose an ugly redux theme, okay? That’s just… no. The theme really shouldn’t matter, but we like to keep things looking nice and easily navigated through. The nicer the theme, usually, the easier to navigate through for other players who need to retrieve information about the character. You don’t need anything fancy at all, just don’t use a theme garden theme and you’ll be good to go. This rule is seriously one you shouldn’t stress over, but just bare it in mind while developing your account.
GODMODDING — Do not do this. Ever. It is the epitome of a bad roleplay decision and if you’re caught doing it once, you will be given a very stern warning. Another time? You’re out. No exceptions. This is just ridiculous, you signed up for your own character for a reason, so play them! Not anyone else’s. Another form of godmodding is ship-force. I don’t care if your faceclaim is dating another in real life. If that person doesn’t want your character to ship with their’s, they don’t have to and you can’t force them. This is supposed to be fun for everyone and no one is going to have their selfish needs catered to.
REALISM — Too many major plotlines going on at once is just ridiculous. We can’t have five teen pregnancies and six suicide attempts, these types of things just don’t make sense. So before attempting to write the following (pregnancies, suicide attempts, murders, deaths, psychological disorders, major injuries, hospitalization, etc.) please consult the admins beforehand just to make sure it hasn’t already been done or is an appropriate time for it to happen. Like, if we’re hosting a party or an event of sorts for the RP, no one’s going to want to hear about your character in mourning. It’s just… no.
EVENTS | PROMPTS — Events will be hosted by the admins or anyone who has an admin-approved idea. They will likely be written in chatzy’s in para format. They aren’t mandatory to attend, but if you’d like to enjoy a funner experience in the roleplay, it would probably help if you tagged along. We will also eventually be posting semi-weekly writing prompts as self-para’s help both making people feel included on a writing scales since we know it’s unrealistic for everyone to want to para all of the time, and character development. Once again, these aren’t mandatory, but if you would like to, you may participate.
OUT OF CHARACTER — No drama. No and’s, if’s, or but’s about it. There will be no drama and no bullying of any sort. If you are seen doing anything that peeves one of the writers or even worse, the admins, you will be notified that you are going to have to leave. There aren’t any exceptions to this rule, there aren’t any warnings. We’re very laid back and very nice and we want people to feel comfortable in our roleplay. We will be running an OOC blog, OOC chatzys, and OOC tinychats in the future to give everyone a sense of belonging and to just chill out and have a good time.
RESERVATIONS — Faceclaims can be reserved both off and on anon for a total of 24 hours. If you do end up reserving a character on anon, please leave a name for us to look out for otherwise we won’t be accepting your request. If we don’t know who you are, we can’t reserve the faceclaim, so it’s a given that we need a name. Also, just because a faceclaim is reserved doesn’t mean that it can’t be auditioned for. You may audition for a reserved faceclaim, but keep in mind that the we will only be accepting once the person who reserved the FC sends in their application.
CHARACTER MAXIMUM — You may have a maximum of four characters. 2 males, 2 females. No more, no less. You must be able to keep up with all of your characters. If we see that you’re lagging on one account past the inactivity period, we’re going to ask that you let it go. It’s not fair that certain FC’s have to be taken off of the market for someone who isn’t even going to use the accounts, so don’t waste our time and yours.
IN CHARACTER DRAMA — Encouraged to the max. Like, seriously. We love drama. We love cat fights, and wild drunken hook-ups, and everything in between. It’s always acceptable and if anyone has a problem with it, we’ll gladly send them on their way. This RP is based in college. College is a cesspool of drama and trouble-making. If you can’t take the heat, it would be best if you got out of the kitchen.
HAVE FUN — Such a cliche rule, but please have a good time! We’re really not as strict as we seem in these rules, we just wanted to give you a very clear idea as to what we are looking for. But nevertheless, please just have as much fun as you can and enjoy yourself. That’s what roleplay is about, after all.
